When you think about Africa, you have something in mind, an image that is in your head. Kenya offers exactly what you may imagine, with huge savannahs and rainforest filled mountains. If you want to be a part of a great safari, Kenya is a country you do need to consider visiting. This is a certainty.
In order to highlight the potential that is available, we will talk about some of the really interesting safari destinations that have to be considered in the country. Learn all that you can about all of them so that you can choose the exact experience you want.
Masai Mara National Reserve
One of the best wildlife shows in the world can be seen at this reserve. During the period between June and October, you can get to see so many iconic herbivores present here, allowing you to see a true spectacle. Many great continent predators are also seen here, allowing you to see wild nature fights that you never have the opportunity of seeing in confined environments. Visitors can get to see cheetahs and so much more.
Amboseli National Park
The best views of Mount Kilimanjaro are available at the Amboseli National Park, which is located right along the border. You will particularly love the elephants here and the views of the snow-capped mountain. Images from this park are actually used in many cards that promote visiting Africa.
Tsavo National Park
There are actually 2 Tsavo National Parks, West and East. They are perfect wilderness areas with epic landscapes that offer shelter to so many species you want to see on a safari. What is referred to as the Big Five is available on all safaris to these parks: elephants, leopards, rhinos, buffalos and lions. The soil in the park is so interesting, red, perfect for memorable pictures.
Lake Nakuru National Park
Right in the Rift Valley, Lake Nakuru National Park is incredibly beautiful. You can get the opportunity of seeing white and black rhinos, beautiful lions, Rothschild giraffes (they are currently endangered), colobus monkeys, leopards and so much more. The scenery is perfectly complemented by sheer diffs, waterfalls and classic safari landscapes.
Aberdare National Park
This is a different safari experience when compared to the South Kenya region. We have really dense rainforest here with Alpine moorlands. Majestic animals like elephants, bongo antelopes, black antelopes and so many more are available here. We are faced with a true abundance of wildlife, all combined with landscapes that are perfect for cards to send home.
Meru National Park
Right near Mt Kenya, which is the second highest in the continent, you can see Meru National Park. Unfortunately, this is one of the least visited national parks in the country. This is totally a shame since the landscape is definitely surprising and we are faced with such a large array of interesting species that can be seen. The most attractive part of the experience is that you will, most likely, not have to deal with other tourists. This is something that a lot of people love.
