Benoue National Park

This is Cameroon’s national park, a Biosphere Reserve under UNESCO. The national park is wonderful for those that love nature. We are looking at a habitat that is highly characterized by the presence of wooden grassland. There are various flaura and fauna attractions that you can enjoy right here. While there are only around 30 lions that still live here, you can also enjoy elephants, water bucks, monkeys, warthogs and spotted hyenas. You will surely love the many different antelopes that are here and the presence of the African wild dog.

If you love bird watching, you should be aware of the fact that there are 306 species that reside in Benoue National Park. This includes many waterbirds.

Mount Cameroon

Mount Cameroon is a really active volcano that is located near Gulf of Guinea. It is known as Fako or Cameroon Mountain. The last eruption took place in 2012 but the mountain is not dangerous. The height is of 4,040 meters and is located in West Cameroon. The mountain rises right through tropical rainforest and the views are incredible. Hikers can easily climb the peak and should consider the annually held Mount Cameroon Race Of Hope. That would lead towards a 4 and a half hour reach.

Lobeke National Park

A game safari in the Lobeke National Park is a wonderful experience. There are so many animals that can be seen like forest hogs, majestic elephants, lowland gorillas and many indigenous birds. The visitor can even spend one night inside the park, set up a camp in a watchtower and see all the nocturnal creatures right in their own natural habitat.
